Evansville Water Treatment Building

Building higher standards to better our communities.

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility provides the community high-quality water and sewer service and is committed to finding new and better ways to manage the land, water, and systems we all rely on.

FOG/Septic Operations Extended

EWSU is extending operations at the septic waste and FOG receiving station until July 1, 2026. This will allow waste haulers more time to finalize alternative disposal arrangements.

Water Shutoffs Suspended

We are taking steps to help ease the financial burden faced by thousands of Vanderburgh County residents who recently lost access to federal food assistance. EWSU is pausing water shutoffs and will not assess late fees on overdue water and sewer bills for 90 days.

Groundwater Option

Evansville Water and Sewer Utility is shifting to a smart, cost-saving plan that blends groundwater with Ohio River water for a stronger, more efficient water infrastructure system.
